Hola mi familia,
My family is in PROVO today for the BYU game! And yet, its just another Pday at the MTC for me. Que triste. Perro, esta bien... or at least that is what I try to tell myself. Dad mentioned he was thinking about trying to sneak me out of here just for the game. This put the biggest smile on my face cuz the wheels in my brain started turning as well. For a moment, I thought of how exciting it would be to casually walk out of the MTC while wearing my suit over my BYU appearal as if I was going to the temple. Then while all the missionaries are crossing the street, Dad could ignore the red light and come pluck me out of the middle of the crowd on the cross walk in drive by style fashion. I could kick and scream and act like I was resisting, just to make sure we really sold it. Then, after the game, we could paint some bruises on me and I could come wandering back to the MTC and tell the story of how I escaped my kidnapper and had to find my way back to the MTC. Isn't that the perfect ticket out Dad?

Oops. Accidently pressed tap and my letter sent before I was ready.
Anyways, like I said, I only thought about that for a moment. Afterall, our thoughts become our actions. But it was still fun to think about it ;)
I hope you enjoy the Game today! I expect a full report. My teacher Hermano Paulson is no longer our teacher. He was promoted this week to someone higher up the ladder of responsibility here at the MTC. So I have not seen him in several days. And since I have not seen him, I'm not sure if he was still planning on going and saying Hi or not. So maybe you will meet him, maybe you wont. But the biggest reason I need a full report of the game is because of the Fact that Hermano Paulson is no longer my teacher. He always filled us in on the details. And now we no longer have him. So dad, remember when you used to send me articles to read about the games and stuff like that? I'm gonna need you to dearelder those to me from now on ;) Ok I'm just kidding about the dearelder thing with the articles. A simple letter telling me how the game went will suffice.
I loved hearing about your wallsit compotitions at home and the arm wrestles. 17 minutes definitly puts me to shame. Way to go! But Nathan, you let MOM beat you in the arm wrestles? Dude. You got some serious work to do. And congrats Mom! I am very impressed. I have a funny story about the wallsit record here at the MTC. You know how I said it was 14 minutes and somthing seconds? Well, now it is higher. No, your Elder Ostler didn't set the new record. But he did inspire the new record. Appearantly the Elder that currently holds the record lived on our same floor. He walked by while Elder M and I were competing and asked how long we had been going. At that point, we were at 11 min. I guess he was scared we were practicing in an effort to go beat his record he had just set, because within a few days, the record was bumped up a bit to 31 min. We found out that it was the Elder who had come asked us about our wall sitting. Pretty funny to me.
Anyway, our district, the six of us, were moved to a new floor. Our entire Zone was spread out across 3 different apartment buildings across campus. The branch presidency decided to move us all together when the dorms that were being remodeled were finished. So now our entire Zone is on the same hall. And we have "brand new" rooms.... if a fresh layer of paint and new carpets qualify as a new room. The "new rooms" are litterally exactly the same. Except I actually liked our old ones better because we were so much closer to everything. But, even though the rooms aren't really a step up. Making the move across campus was totally worth it. I love being on the same hall with our whole zone. We have gotten to know our zone much better just in these past few days. It is pretty awesome. There are a ton of awesome Elders in our zone.
I got to eat dinner with Jackson this past week! It was great to see him. He said he would come eat with us again sometime. So that will be fun.
I found out where Helen's class is by accident! we were walking back to the apartment for the night, and I happened to see her face through the window (she had the window seat). So Elder M and I waited outside the building until she came out of class to talk with her. It was the coolest coincidence ever to glance over at the building as I was passing by and see my cousin sitting there. She is going to come to the devotional with our district this week on sunday.
Well, Adios mi familia,
Love you lots!
Elder Ostler
