Hola!
This week has cruised by! I feel like Pday was just two days ago! My time here at the MTC is coming to an end. Only two and a half more weeks. Pretty crazy to think about. And when I think about it, it makes me want to use my preparation time here even more effectively. I'm just glad I don't have to master the language in 2 and a half weeks. Mastery will come with far more time than the next little bit of time I have in the MTC. But I do feel a bit of pressure or maybe it could better be called a responsibility to get the most I possibly can out of this last little bit of time.
Last night, I went to dinner deep in thought about what I can do to better improve my language study; what new methods I could try to be more effective with my time here. It's not that I don't use my study time, it's just I feel like I could be more effective somehow. And I want to be as effective as possible for these last couple weeks. So anyways, while I was standing in line pondering about this, the sister missionary in front of me turned around and I realized that, It was my cousin!!!! Sister Stolp! It was the coolest thing ever! Becasue she is a visitor center missionary she has a week left. Half of her district left already because they were english speaking Elders and only had 3 weeks here. When half the district left, she and the remainder of the District recieved a new schedule. And now she has dinner at the same time as me for a week! Pretty awesome huh?
Last night, we had a substitute for our class. Our substitute was from Spain! She is fluent! She is here in Provo learning English so she can go to BYU. It was awesome. This Substitute was the same person that escorted me to a computer lab at the beginning of my MTC experience and guided me through the check in process. And this time, I was actually able to communicate with her! When I think back to that first encounter with this teacher who I now know is fluent in espanol and doesn't speak English very well, I can't help but think how funny it must have been for the people that watched me trying to understand her on that first day. It must have been a sight to see.
But this was one of my favorite class sessions I have had since coming here to the MTC. I think it was so awesome because she was just encouraging us to get the most we could out of the remainder of our time here. Which was really interesting to me because it was what I had been thinking about leading up to the class. It was great. And it was so awesome to realize how far I have come. I could understand almost everything she said throughout the lesson. It was sweet!
Mom, you make me laugh. You are lucky you have a nephew who works here at the MTC to check up on me when you get worried about why I paid for a doctor visit. And I guess I am lucky too. Because it was fun to talk to him when he came and found me to tell me, "Your mom is worried about you." I'm sorry to have worried you. I will pay with cash next time (if there ever is a next time) rather than use my debit card ;) haha. But I will give my best shot to answer your questions you sent me. Basically, it is a little dot/pimple looking thing right under my eye. It showed up in my second week here at the MTC. It got slightly bigger and then stopped growing. It is noticable to the point that it looks like I have a little eye booger. I tried to pop it several times or pull it off, but it was impossible. So I decided that I would take advantage of the fact we have a doctor's office here on campus and go have it checked out. He wasn't even sure what it was. But yes, he did reccomend antobiotics in an effort to take care of it.
That is pretty weird that you only just now got the letter I sent with the camera sd card. I sent that 2 weeks ago. That is pretty odd it took so long to get there. But oh well, I'm glad you have it now. Don't forget that there is a piture on there for my Mike and Chelsea cousins.
Well, I'm nearly out of time.
I love you all! I'm doing well. Learning lots. And I desire to learn much more with the remainder of my time here at the Training Center.
