Hello Family!

Alright.  My brain is running like a hundred miles an hour right now because there is still some more stuff we have to fit into this PDay before it's time to start up with the teaching again tonight.

We are still having trouble getting into a groove with the new living location as far as Pdays go.  But we will get it figured out soon.

After we are done here emailing we are going to go help our sister missionaries out with some things.  They just received a 3rd member of their companionship.  An English sister!  The English sister was training a new missionary who had to go home for some reason.  I'm assuming that due to the fact that her area covers part of the area that our Hermanas work in, President Becerra decided to put her into the Spanish companionship until a more permanent fix can be worked out with the next batch of incoming English Sisters.  So from now until the end of the transfer, our Hermana missionaries will be bouncing back and forth between English and Spanish work.

On Friday our District had the super cool opportunity of having President Becerra come to our church building and offer some guidance on how we can become better more effective planners.  It was focused around the weekly planning session but we also talked about daily planning as well.  We also spent a bit of time talking about how we can find more effectively now that the cars are gone (I think President gave up on trying to keep the cars we used to have a secret from the new missionaries).  It was awesome and inspiring.  I loved it.  Elder Page and I have already started seeing the miracles as a result of adopting the principles we learned from Mission President into our missionary lives.

Here is one super cool experience we had.

Shortly after our meeting with President, we had an appointment fall through. Elder Page was just itching for a chance to put to the test what President Becerra had talked with us about. So before we had even found out that the appointment had cancelled (we had just barely knocked the door) he begins explaining to me how he wants to try out what President challenged us to do and knock the doors around the house if the appointment ended up cancelling.

We went on to have 3 solid door knocking contacts in a row which used up the rest of our evening! Our first door was the neighbor of a member who told us that they would love to come visit with us next time we go by their neighbors (the members) for a visit.  Our second door turned out to be somebody who knew that one day the Lord is going to gather his church together again and that we shall all be as one without division.  We testified that the Lord is indeed doing this and that we are evidence of the fact that he is doing it today.  We even got in for a fast lesson!  This man is extremely active in his religion which I believe contributed greatly to his ability to understand at a very high level the truths we were sharing with him.  It was amazing.  He seemed very willing to have us come back but wouldn't commit to a time.  So we will just have to pass by.  I'm excited for him.  I truly enjoy teaching people who are actively engaged in Christianity.  Its a treat for me to teach people like that.  Our 3rd door happened to be a new family in the neighborhood.  So we got to welcome them to the neighborhood!  They too are willing to have us come back and we have an appointment for Wed.  That was the best door knocking I have experienced my entire mission! It was inspiring. I was reminded by this experience that the amount of faith we approach the finding situation with is important. In truth, every situation is a finding situation with the right outlook.

I love my mission.

I love you and miss you all!

Your Son,

Elder Ostler
