Hello Family!

Don't have a lot of time to email.  It's obviously not Monday.  So I'm doing missionary work today along with squeezing in a bit of time for email.

First of all, Kara, you will be getting a birthday letter soonish.  I will be finishing it next pday.  The plan was to finish it yesterday and send it out, but too much came up and there wasn't time.  Yesterday was a crazy pday with no time to do anything.  Too many things just came up and it wasn't possible to get it finished.

So, the reason why I'm emailing today and not yesterday is because there was a power outage for a great majority of the day in the library and we weren't able to get our emails sent.

But like I said, it's going to be a quicker one.  Cuz we have a lot to do today.

To answer your question mom, the exchange with Elder Ingram didn't happen.  He had some fancy zone leader stuff come up and we had to put the exchange off until next week.  So it won't be until later that you get to hear about that.

As far as the missionary work is going, it's never been better here.  We committed the wonderful family I told you about to a baptismal date this past week! They are awesome.  We were teaching the plan of salvation.  We had a little cut out object lesson thing laid out on the table which showed each part in the plan of salvation.  After we had finished the lesson, I shared my testimony that I know that because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity to return to live with God our Heavenly Father and our families in the Celestial Kingdom one day.  After this, the mother looked over the whole plan and said something to the effect of, "Yep, that's what we want to do.  But first we have to get ready to do that.  And right now we are right here..." she pointed to the part of our cut out object lesson that teaches the 5 steps of the gospel of Jesus Christ that we must follow while here on the earth, "...We have faith, and we are trying to do this repent thing, but we have to take the next step.  We have to be baptized.  That's what we have to do next. And then we can receive the Holy Ghost and endure to the end."  We already had planned on inviting them to prepare for a specific date for their baptism, but this moment just couldn't have gotten any more perfect. We invited them to be baptized for the 21st of July.  They happily and excitedly accepted.  They even mentioned (without us bringing it up) that they are looking forward to the day when they will be able to enter the temple as a family after they have proven themselves worthy and ready to do so. Wow Huh? They are wonderful.  They already talk about how they are going to be sending their children on missions once they are old enough so they can share the gospel with others in the same way that we are.  (aside from their daughter who is also preparing for baptism, they have 2 twin boys who are 6 and one little boy who is 2ish).

So that is pretty much the most exciting news of the week.

But everything else is going very wonderfully as well.

Wish I had more time,

But I don't.

We have a lesson to teach.

Love Ya all!

P.S. The post office was also closed yesterday due to the same power outage so I wasn't able to send my package home.....next week.

Oh!  And Happy Fathers Day Dad!  Love you!  (I think fathers day is this Sunday...)
