Well, its been another great week!  Elder Rauckhorst and I are doing great.  There is gonna be a lot I can learn from him.  Obviously after almost 2 whole years of service as a missionary he has quite a bit of experience.  And my goal is to learn as much as I can from him.

We had a really good week (numbers wise) this past week.  We taught a ton of lessons, found a bunch of new people to teach, and had 4 people come to church.  I think that this was really good for helping Elder Rauckhorst feel better about getting assigned a new area for his last transfer.  He wasn't terribly excited about having to leave his last area, but he's doing better now.

And as for me, there is definitely a learning curve I'm working on as I have had to boost up my personal efforts in my missionary work.  Being the one that knows the area and the people better is a bit of a responsibility.  I didn't even realize how much more of a key role I would have to be taking in lessons and planning for those lessons without Elder Ingram.  In fact, I was kinda of the opinion that getting an older missionary would be like getting the answer key for a test.  But I have realized that this is not the case.  Yes, he does have a ton of knowledge, but even he, with all his experience, can't do it alone.  This was a bit of a bummer to me.  I had imagined for a bit that getting a missionary in his last transfer would mean that I would be able to learn through observing and watching an expert. And this was a wrong assumption.  I am definitely still needed.  At the very least, I'm needed to make sure we don't get lost ;)

I can't wait to find out what is going on with Kara and college!  Yo Kara!  Did you get into BYU-H?  Is that still your goal?  So where are you going?  What are you going to do with your life?

This week, we are going to be teaching a lesson to a family about the temple and how we can become a forever family.  For this lesson, I'm just going to be using a family picture I have to talk about my family and how through a temple sealing, we will be together forever.  But I was thinking, could you send me a picture from when we got sealed together as a family?  I'm sure it will be a lesson I teach again at some point in my mission and it would be really cool to have one a picture of us together outside the temple.  So if you could, that would be super awesome!  Thanks.

Also, Dad, I found it pretty funny when you told me, "I feel like I let the missionaries down this week".  Hmmm yea, maybe you did this time, but on the bright side, you had an excellent excuse, and you can always make it up to them. ;)  But for real Dad, I'm sure they understood.  And if they don't, then they should be more understanding.  Its not every set of missionaries that get to work with a super star like yourself.  Keep it up Dad!  I always find it super cool to hear how closely you work with the missionaries.  It makes me realize even more so my need to do the same with our Bishop.

Well, I'm kinda short on time today.

So adios!

Till next week!

Love Ya!
